For the first time in the company’s history, we can proudly present Simon Møkster Shipping’s Sustainability report for the year 2020.
During last year, Simon Møkster Shipping continued to increase the focus on sustainability in the organization and our commitment to the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals.
As a result of this, major decrease of emissions within scope 1, 2 and 3 was possible.
In addition shore power connections were installed on the Stril Pioner, Stril Polar and Stril Orion.
During 2020 we managed to reduce the total CO2 emissions in the fleet by 13,9%.
This is an important stepping stone in reaching our ambitions of 40 % reduction of climate gas emissions by 2030 and working towards net-zero emissions in 2050.
Furthermore the goal is to have 25 % of revenue from non-oil and gas related activities by 2025, increasing this to 50 % by 2030.
