During Nor-Shipping 2022, together with 18 Norwegian shipowners, Simon Møkster Shipping was invited to the U.S Ambassador’s Residence to receive an award for participating in the USCG AMVER Program for 2020 and 2021. It was Stril Explorer who entered the AMVER Program during there oversees campaign in the U.S in 2020 and 2021. AMVER, or Automated Mutual-Assistance Vessel Rescue is a worldwide voluntary reporting system sponsored by the United States Coast Guard. It is a computer-based global ship-reporting system used worldwide by search and rescue authorities to arrange for assistance to persons in distress at sea. 6976 vessels achieved at least 128 days on-plot contributing to 224 lives saved in 2021.
