Simon Møkster Shipping is pleased to announce that Equinor has awarded a contract for SOV services for the Hywind Tampen windfarm project. The contract will be served by Stril Server (built 2014). The contract will start in Q2 2022 and the duration is 150 days plus options. Over the last years, Stril Server has conducted several thousand successful W2W and crane operations at various windfarms in the North Sea Area.
The contract is important to Møkster as it will be one of the first SOV contracts serving floating wind turbines and therefore extra considerations has been made to manoeuvring capacities between two moving targets. The project is the first SOV/W2W project for Møkster on the NCS.
Møkster has continuously had contracts with Equinor since 1981 and with this new contract we can add SOV services in addition to ERRV and PSV services to our contract portfolio with Equinor.
